I vow to start a weekend off with a killer song. You with me? Especially because I will be asking for wings next weekend as I run.
This weekend there is a lot in the air. I have my normal run and body pump Saturday sweat (dig it) followed by 8 hours at work. Don’t dig that. But after I am hopefully getting together with friends to celebrate our 2 month anniversary at our job. I mean why not celebrate random things? Sunday I stupidly committed to working earlier than normal (10:30 instead of 12) so Saturday won’t be a late night (if it even happens). So as you can tell, zero plans means zero expectations.
What I do know is that I am not 8 days till the race and 7 days till I get to head to Cape Cod with my whole family. I am trying not to think too far ahead because it will make the week drag on BUT I will be getting in some great training runs this week before next weekend. That and some body pump. First race back and I am going in the only way I know how, zero expectations.
You see a theme? I sure do. I hope you all have a great weekend! Zero expectations and all.
Wow I am a little late to this party. You all know I love, I mean freaking adore, their bars. The only bars I actually eat. But you have heard me babble on about how much I can’t get enough of their Cinnamon Roll, Apple Pie and Coconut Cashew flavors… oh gosh even three was hard to choose… but I finally got my hands on some of their newest additions - Pastabilities.
Ok recap. I love their customer service. Hands down the most receptive company out there when it comes to interacting and reaching out to consumers with helpful information. Second, their bars are high protein, low carb, gluten free and no sugar added. Their texture is what wins in my book. I should note – I have yet to find their newest flavor White Chocolate Raspberry near me. That would be fine EXCEPT I got to try one of this flavor and now am in love with it. Chunks of white chocolate in a delicious high protein bar. I have been stalking my local GNC in hopes of finding when they will get them, no luck. One day I will be able to try that new flavor. Third, their high protein peanut butter cups are pretty darn impressive with 20 grams of high quality protein with no soy and no added sugar.
But to the new stuff. Their newest Pastabilities come in Spinach Fettuccine and Spaghetti and are gluten free, no active carbs and around 20-40 calories per bag. These are very similar to those low calories noodles or miracle noodles you may have seen EXCEPT I actually liked this. I won’t lie, I was skeptical. The other noodles I can’t stand. They still have a fishy taste even after soaked, layered with sauce and cooked. These I found were delicious – especially under a ground turkey meat sauce. Easy to cook, gluten free and a chewier texture than your average noodles. I would buy these again. YUM.
Check out their website, show them some love and for peets sake get your hands on some before I eat them all.
