When weeks are long it makes the weekends even that much sweeter. I do have to work most of today but at least I have a fun day with the team tomorrow. Nothing beats that.
I’ve seen this Coffee Chatter around and you know, I like my coffee, so why not. Let’s not though, if we were having coffee it would have to be Dunkin Donuts or home brewed. Just to making sure we are on the same page here.
If we were having coffee… I would talk about my race next weekend. I am trying to not over think this one. Again, I am running it not racing it just because I have two races in April I want to race well in. I need to keep reminding myself I love this distance, I love just running with a crowd, and I love just running, period. No stress.
If we were having coffee… I would tell you I need the date tomorrow with the girls more than ever. Call me needy or what not but chatting with friends is the best reliever of any funk. Even if they make fun of how you pronounce things. And the way you like your candy. I mean I think we are friends…
If we were having coffee… I would tell you my parents were hit hard with snow which was completely unexpected. I remember talking to my mom saying ‘oh just an inch or so’ which turns into a text from her today saying they got a foot. Hey snow, peace out before I head home in two weekends. Ok?
If we were having coffee… I would admit I do a lot of ‘if I could only be her’. It’s a terrible game and always one I lose. I am still trying to come to the facts that I can’t be anyone but me.
If we were having coffee… I would tell you I will probably be wearing shorts for my runs this weekend. Hello 50 degree weather.
If we were having coffee… I would tell you Chobani hooked me up like whoa. I have never tried their Bites or Champions before but these are some tasty little treats. I dug the Coffee Chocolate Bites. Drool. Even the Caramel Pineapple one totally blew me away. Best eaten right from the fridge but for an extra treat – pop them into the freezer! I also made some killer healthy mini donuts using them.

Founded in 1992 after the founders traveled to Australia, this organic yogurt has become a thriving business in California’s Napa Valley. This yogurt gets its unique texture from a slow cooking process, unlike most yogurts that add gelatin for thickness. This process creates a naturally smooth and creamy Australian style texture and a mild taste. Their yogurt is cultured after pasteurization so that it contains living and active probiotic cultures. The organic milk in their yogurt comes from small family farms in nearby Sonoma and Marin counties. All of their products are gluten free and contain no eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, shellfish or soybeans. In addition, you will find no artificial sweeteners, colors, MSG or gelatin.
Their product line includes Organic Blended Lowfat yogurt, Blended Nonfat Yogurt, Down Under Fruit on the Bottom Lowfat yogurt, Greek Lowfat Yogurt, Greek Nonfat Yogurt, Wallaby & Joey and European Style Sour Cream. I have to say, I dug their Plain 0% Greek Yogurt. It was thick, creamy and totally filling. I have to say probably one of my favorites out there. Their yogurt was equally as tasty with a Maple flavor that blew me away. Sometimes yogurt that is flavored can be too sweet but this was perfect. I wish I could have found the Sour Cream but I couldn’t for the life of me find it anywhere! Overall though, this is a company I would totally buy from again.
Give Wallaby a try, you will not be disappointed. Check out their website for more information!

I am slowly turning into a sweet lover. Or at least a dark chocolate lover. The founder of this company went through a transformation himself. After suffering a major heart attack due to his unhealthy lifestyle, he lost weight and reinvented himself with new healthy habits. His project, Original Melzy Creations, was a way to make healthy candy. Melzy Creations are made of two product lines – Figamajigs and Whatsonutso – both that are nutrient dense, lower in fat, lower in calories, higher in fiber and support blood and digestive health. Figamajigs are a blend of figs and high quality cocoa which make a naturally sweet but lower fat chocolate covered candy. Whatsonutso are a blend of creamy peanut butter, peanut flour and chicory root that is covered in milk or dark chocolate.
Guys, these were BOMB. I am telling you I could not get enough. The Figamajigs were a chewy burst of sweetness that had just the right amount of bitter chocolate kick with a sweet bang of fig. Plus the little snack pack was a perfect on the go treat. Whatsonutso surprised me too. I was not sure how the peanut butter would make me enjoy them but I was basically drooling as I ate these. What I loved were that they were not too sweet, like knock you off your feet crash sweetness. Instead it was a subtle sweetness with a peanut-y undertone. Delicious. Down right delicious. Even better? Freeze those bad boys. Holy yum.
I need to find these near me. Either that or order more online. I am hooked. Check out their website to learn more!

SO happy you got some donuts that worked out for you after those protein powder disasters
Yogurt sounds like a great addition!
Love that gif of Sabrina the Teenage Witch and Britney Spears.
I do a lot of those “if only…” comparisons too. No good does it ever do me
Gotta stop… And enjoy the upcoming spring weather. Ha
I am slowly mastering those healthy donuts using the donut maker. so true, this nice weather headed our way needs to be here now
Yum those Melzy products look good! Also very jealous of your Chobani haul. They have just brough Chobani to Australia but we have nowhere near the product line that you guys have yet.
That is awesome you guys have chobani now, hopefully you will get more of a line soon. The Melzy stuff is so freaking good.
I’m still laughing about the figamajigs. That’s great.
And just so you know, if you want to dance like Sabrina, I’ll be dancing like that right along side you. No Britney snark from me. Why? Because life is too darn short to be Britney Spears.
The names made me want more too, I mean come on who wouldn’t want to eat a Figamajig? Sabrina, oh a show I watched way too much of when I was younger
Chobani for the win! I tried the vanilla-chocolate chunk (or one called something similar) at a race expo and enjoyed it. Hope you have a good day at the running store!
Yes! That flavor is bomb, I just can’t get enough of it.
I’m excited to hear how your runs go! I think you have the best attitude to this upcoming race. Just enjoy!
Hope you don’t have to work too hard this weekend!
Thanks I am pretty excited about just running the race, I know there will be lots of people so hopefully that will make it more of a social thing
Can’t wait for shorts this weekend. Seriously one of the few times I’m happier being here than back in New England. We’ll have to hold each other back from racing this half. It’s hard not to get into the racing mindset but if we go into it as one long chat session for fun, we’ll be fine.
I know, shorts all the time now. Even if I shouldnt. It really is hard, also my corral is going to not help that ‘no race’ mindset. Whoops…
Chobani has been blowing up blog world! Glad you can bust out the running shorts this weekend:)
I couldn’t believe chobani hooked me up, they know how to win my heart over.
Haha yess Sabrina the Teenage Witch. When I was working overnights last year, one of my happiest moments was realizing that one channel (can’t remember which one now) played Sabrina reruns at like 4 am. It was wonderful.
Now you kind of have me wanting donuts…
Sabrina was a show I watched for so many years when my sister, even when she got older in college and the show kind of stunk. Dude, protein donuts have been my new go to. Super duper easy.
I feel the same way about friends! There is something about being with your best friends that allows you to set aside everything else for a little while and just be happy and laugh. It’s amazing. Have a great weekend!
It really is, something I totally forgot about for a while but am slowly starting to open up to
I wish my lactose intolerance would go away so I could just eat Chobani day in and day out! Sometimes I cave and have regular yogurt but it never ends well for me or my stomach. Oy. Those Melzy products sound so good!
I hear you on the comparision trap thing. I’ve gotten a lot better about it over the years but it’s still hard. My mom always tells me to “put the blinders on” in regards to other people and I love that.
I def should not be eating tons of dairy because of my stomach but I can’t resist. I just have to be careful. That is so my motto too, put the blinders on is something I still try to work on
Great post! And WHOA CHOBANI OVERLOAD! I would be in heaven with all that yogurt
I am, I brought some to my coworker who now loves me. haha
Yummy looking goodies Alex, those chocolate covered figs sound incredible!!
You would love them, immediately though of you when I ate them
We need to go on a food adventure together Alex!
Oh my gosh dream day right there.
Chobani bites are my newest favorite obsession! so good!
I was a big fan, I had never had them before but the flavors blew me away. Win!
I love the idea of coffe chatter! I need to do one of these. I feel ya on needing a girls night too!!
You should do it! I loved this idea too. Can’t wait for my girls day tomorrow
Absolutely LOVE the Step Brothers reference- its one of my favorite movies for one-liners.
That movie is such a hilarious kicker!
Yaaah for coffee talk!
Step Brothers! Now that you showed that gif, I totally want to watch that movie now. How I love it.
I feel like I need a major girls night too. I’ve been up to arms in stress, I can’t wait for tonight.
Have a great weekend!
I thought you would like the coffee chatter. I am so ready for a girls day tomorrow, I need it.
Yay for a meet up with the girls
oh and if i have to take it easy next weekend, so do you…we’ve established i hate being left out of anything i love and since racing doesn’t look like a smart option for me at the moment, it isn’t for you either. In case you were wondering
Ok, I will you hold you to it too lady! Glad we are ready for just a fun weekend. Eek so close to be able to see you.
Love this post! Such a cute idea
Aw thanks lady!
Shorts for the win!
I agree.
OMG, the old school Britney and Melissa Joan Hart gif FTW!
I hear you on being nervous for the race — whenever I’m nervous about a run, I listen to comedy podcasts while I’m running. Laughing helps keep my nerves at bay and makes me think about whatever hilarity is being pumped into my ears, not my pace or my position within the pack. I highly recommend it!
Comedy podcasts? dude that is such an awesome idea. probably why I run to kiss 108 each morning. Matty in the morning all the way
I’m running RocknRoll too! Hope we can run into each other
Brunch?
YES we are having a whole bunch of bloggers meet up, we should all hang after the race. I think there is about seven of us right now
I definitely want to join!!
If we were having coffee.. I’d tell you you need to find one of those cool moving pictures you always post (i’m sure they have a name! haha) of alex mac from the secret world of alex mac! do u remember that show? she was the girl that could melt into puddles… your sabrina pic just made me think of that lol
I DO I never watched that show but I may check it out to find one just for you.
Yay for shorts weather! We’ve had some cray weather here lately but it’s going to be near 70 by the end of this week and that makes me super happy. And now I really want to watch Step Brothers, I still haven’t seen that movie!
Gosh everyone is getting such up and down weather. I can’t wait for warm weather all the time
Holy Chobani stash!! Mini yogurt donuts!? YUM!! I am so jazzed for your race! I can’t wait to hear how it goes!
I need to remember the recipe and post it, heaven in a mini donut maker for sure.
Don’t ever be anyone but you! I like you. I probably wouldn’t like you as much if you were someone else
And I so agree, talking to friends is just a HUGE stress relief and I like to do it on Sundays before my week starts – kind of unloading all the stress and crazy of the past week
. And yeah, don’t sweat the race – I think running races just for “fun” – well going in with that mindset, I always end up surprising myself with my time. Getting lost in the crowd can do wonders! Also – SO JEALOUS of the Chobani!! I friggin love the Bites, especially the chocolate coffee ones…..#crack
Yes crack indeed. You are really sweet Kate, I mean you are that blogger that I remember from when I just started. I am always so grateful to have found you in this huge blog world. I hope one day we can run a race together and get lost in the crowd
Imma need that donut recipe
I need to take measurements and post it. I am getting good at the protein powder or coconut flour mini donuts.
I totally fall into the comparison trap too, but you shouldn’t want to be anyone but you, you are way too good to be someone else
I keep seeing figamajigs on blogs and I NEED them! I am a total lover of dark chocolate and figs, so these babies sound like pure heaven.
You would love these them, I am obsessed and wish I could find them in stores near me
So excited for the race! We should try to meet up sometime after maybe?! Will you be hanging around or do you have things to do? Anyways, those chobani bites look amazing, literally never heard of them before this moment! Alsooo, I totally agree with Kate – I love the way you are so don’t go changing, you’re an amazing chica!
a ton of bloggers will be hanging after just in dc, come crash with us. I really want to find you at the race. Chelsea that means the world thank you!
Really?! I guess I don’t know of many DC bloggers, I’ll have to look through your blogs and find them. That sounds so fun
Mmm, we’re on the same page with Dunkin’ coffee!! I just had my first Dunkin’ coffee like last month and I’m becoming addicted. Good thing there isn’t one too close to my house! I’m super excited for your upcoming race
last month was the first time… oh girl their ice coffee is bomb.
AH 50 degrees sounds amazing right about now
And I agree, Dunkin Donuts or homemade coffee is always that best!
This weather has been such a treat, today was 65. So beautiful!
