High of 54 today and 66 on Sunday. You bet your bottom I am not going to try to be outside a lot. The first full week of work conquered - all crazy hours of it. Even Best Body Bootcamp done (but more on that tomorrow). And the only way to start a Saturday is a morning run with Molly, coffee date with some blends and lots of time outside running errands. Sunday will be even better with a glorious long run in AM and working in the afternoon. I am in great need of all of that.
Enjoy these gems, I am off to find me some sunshine. It was a slow week on the snack attack front but I am quite impressed with these two ones I discovered. And by impressed I mean some ultimate noms. Hope you all have some killer Saturdays on your agenda.
- Goodbody Baked Goods: Yes, the girl who isn’t a fan of baked goods has found her demise. Soft, chewy, oh my.
- Turbana Plantain Chips: A tasty salty staple that I am addicted to.

Get in my belly. Seriously. That is all that comes to mind when I think of these amazing bites of tastiness. You all know me and baked good, eh I could live without them. But these, I would be very sad if they did not reappear in my life soon. Goodbelly Baked Goods make healthy treats that combine the importance of healthy eating as well as savoring life. These bites allow you to indulge in some chewy goodies without compromising your desire to fill your body with nutritious eats.![photo[1]](http://therunwithin.files.wordpress.com/2013/01/photo12.jpg?w=500)
Goodbody Baked Goods come in Almond Butter Chocolate Chip, Mint Chocolate Chip, Chocolate Brownie, Lemon Blueberry Walnut and Vanilla coconut. These small squares are about the size of a quarter and are gluten and dairy free. Some are even vegan friendly. Across the board though, they are packed with flavor. My favorite had to be the Lemon Blueberry Walnut that had huge pieces of dried blueberries with a little crunch that came from the nuts through out. I have to say, for a girl that doesn’t like nut butter, I was sure digging the Almond Butter Chocolate Chip. Mini chocolate chips invaded the chewy goodness of nutty flavor that was packed into one of those squares. MMMMmmm. Now my chocolate lovers, the Chocolate Brownie bites were nearly melting as I picked them up – they were that moist. Whoa. For someone with more a coconut love, you need to get your hands on the Vanilla Coconut. Holy cow was the flavor there, I was in heaven.
I can’t say anything even slightly negative about these bad boys, I am sold. Hands down some quality chews I want more of. And more. And more. And more. Check out their website to see what else they have to offer!

I am a skeptic when it comes to new foods sometimes. Especially when they fall into categories of foods I don’t normally like, for example bananas. However, I want these daily now. Yes daily if I could. Turbana Plantain chips are my new obsession and for a good reason. Turbana is a global company that is dedicated to using quality fruits. The company is owned in equal parts by Uniban and Fyffes. They have created a streamlined journey for these chips from farm to market. Additionally, Turbana contributes a fixed dollar amount to Fundauniban, the social foundation which manages dozens of social and economic projects in Colombia for every box of fresh fruit used.
These chips are made with only four ingredients – plantains, vegetable oil, salt and natural flavors. They have 30% less fat than your average potato chips. They contain no trans fat, zero cholesterol, GMO free, gluten free and are rich in fiber. And holy moly do their six flavors hit it out of the park – Lightly Salted, Chili, Lime, Chili Lime, Garlic and Sweet. Picking a favorite is really hard. Each chip has a distinct flavor and a thin crunch. They are not overly salty like most chips but instead a hint of salt that gives these quarter sized, paper thin plantain chips a great taste. I have to say one of my favorites was Lime. I am a sucker for that salt and citrus punch. There are so many ways to enjoy these chips. I am all about the straight from the bag approach but I did also find they paired well with salsa, greek yogurt and my all time favorite tuna.
These will be found in my apartment a whole lot now. Thank goodness for convenience. Check out their website to learn more!
