I swear, I am still in awe that after reading my rambles daily that you are all not sick of the Alex mind. I do like though the ‘getting to know you more’ surveys that float around every once in a while, you can’t have too many random facts in your life. Fact.
This one will be even more scatter brained than ever. Work has gotten into the rhythm again and I am back to recruiting, this time for judges at our three showcase events at the end of each month. Professional networking skills at its best to pull together 12 judges per month. I should also mention my awkward sitting ways I have been rocking in order to stretch and sit at the same time during work. Legs were demolished today after a hilly run and focus on the lower body. Stretching at work in a dress, priceless.
But it is Thursday which is that much closer to Friday so let’s get this show on the road. And thank you lovely Irina for the nomination – 11 facts, answer 11 questions, and nominate.

- I am terrible with names. I really am. I refused to even say one of my coworkers name for over two months because I couldn’t quite remember the pronunciation of it. I tend to remember people by the most obscure things – like maybe a phrase they said a lot, what they talked about, facial characteristics. Names just go in one ear and out the other.
- I have some phrases I overuse, I bet you could all name those. But I get a kick out of keeping track (yes, nerd in me) of phrases other people use. I have this little book that I like to write down phrases that people in my life use all the time. It helps me make personalized gifts and cards. My dad’s two phrases that I actually say to spite him is “life’s a struggle” and “close but no cigar”.

- I really hate the taste of olive oil. I would so much rather cook with butter or spray. I can taste when something is cooked in olive oil and it just totally leaves a nasty taste in my mouth. I don’t even own any kind of oil to cook with because I just haven’t found one that I like.
- I have to wash, dry and put away my dishes right after I use them. You will never see a dish in the sink or next to the sink of a drying rack. Never.

- I wore the same light blue swishy zip off at the knee pants in sixth grade nearly every day. Looking back, I always had a problem with clothes. I didn’t wear jeans until eighth grade, I didn’t actually wear real clothes until high school. I couldn’t stand clothes touching my body resulting in lots of photos of me in the exact same shirt, pants and hairdo. eek.
- People named my handwriting the “Shabo font” in high school and college. I do have very neat, unique handwriting. Let’s just say I am always the scribe of the group…

- I don’t sleep with a pillow under my head. I prefer just lying straight on the bed and either putting the pillow to the side or over my head. Yes over.
- Baked goods… eh I could live without. I am much more of a candy person if I want my sweets. Baked goods just do nothing for me.
- I can’t pronounce ambulance. I just can’t. Even if I say it slow, I can’t. Don’t ask me to say it in person because I won’t. I sound like a babbling two year old.
- Of my 23 years of living, I have only had one boyfriend. A few months my sophomore year in college. I swear this is a reason I feel so immature.

- The first pair of shoes I bought for myself were a pair of red converse in eighth grade. I was so proud of those puppies because everyone thought converse were weird. I liked to stand out a whole lot at that point in my life. I paired it with my cookie monster shirt, or my spelling bee shirt, or my band shirt and I felt like the shit. Oh embarrassing time Alex.
Now her questions…
- What is the worst kitchen disaster you’ve ever had? I don’t experiment in the kitchen that often but I have exploded many things in the microwave.
- If you could change your name, what would you change it to? I always wanted to change my name for some reason because I hate how people think I am a boy at first glance to my name. Strange fact, when I was little I wanted my name to be Stacy so bad. No idea why. Now – I would rather Alex any day.
- What’s your favorite store to shop at? Food store – Stop n Shop, brought up there so still kind of love it, Clothes – TJMaxx. I am so classy

- What would you do if you won the lottery and had unlimited money? I probably wouldn’t change too much except take advantage of travelling more often to see family. I am not about living in a big expensive house or buying expensive clothes… not my thing. I would rather save it for later in life (I am such a yawn fest over here)
- What’s your favorite kitchen utensil/gadget? Popcorn popper. Oh hell yes.
- What was the last vacation you took? Christmas break at home in MA, my kind of vacation – going home!

- What’s the best book you’ve read in the past year? hmm I am going to go with one of my favorite books The Perks of Being of a Wallflower
- What is your favorite beauty product? Share your secrets! Did I forget to mention I am barely a girl? The only beauty product I use is Estee lauder Bronzer. That is all.
- What is your dream job? Some sort of advertising job where I get to make the campaigns for products.
- If you could have one magical power, what would it be? SO EASY – teleportation (like blink my eyes and I am there)

- Quick – what are the three most important things in your life? List them off without thinking! Family, friends and my health
Nominations are so hard! Instead I would love to learn…
- What is one quirk about your daily routine?
- Something you carry around with you all the time you can’t live without.
Have a rocking Thursday!

Sorry to hear you don’t like olive oil! I was never a huge fan of it, but I didn’t hate it either. Then I studied in Athens and that changed pronto (you can’t escape it there so I learned to love it). I even went to an olive oil factory in Crete where we had to watch a 1 hour video on the uses of olive oil (it was a school trip). Apparently it’s nature’s Viagra. We were then served olive oil cake (surprisingly good), but the situation is one of the weirdest memories I have of anything.
That is so funny! For some reason I just always chose butter over any kind of oil. No idea why but the taste doesn’t jive with me
I can’t sleep with a pillow either! You’re nuts on the olive oil thing though.
Ya for no pillow. i know – I pretty much sum up strange with hating nut butter and olive oil
I thought I was the only person in the world that hated the taste of olive oil. I don’t even like dipping bread in it at restaurants. Yuck! So a quirk about my routine is something I doubt anyone else my age does….before I get into bed every night, I HAVE to look under my bed. It is so weird, but I have done this my whole life. It’s a combination of semi OCD habit or something and not being able to feel safe until knowing no one is hiding under my bed. I am so weird. hahaha
I am the same way! I don’t know how people put it on their salad or anything. That is adorable you look under your bed. I find that pretty unique
You -do- have pretty awesome handwriting… I was actually kind of envious when I saw your card because I write like I’m in kindergarden. And I’m with you on the whole olive oil thing… I know it’s supposed to be uber healthy and all, but I can’t get past the taste. I once didn’t have any vegetable oil so I used olive oil to make cookies and yeah… didn’t end up eating those puppies.
Yuck! Ya olive oil just doesn’t taste good to me at all, honestly butter is what I would use over any kind of oil. Aw blushing over the hand writing
Oh I totally know what you mean with the names! Also have you tried coconut oil? It’s weird how we all sleep differently and have different habits! I usually like to have a pillow surrounding my head like I’m in a cocoon. (Sp?) Hey, at least you have had a bf
Neutragena has a great chapstick that has color too!
Sadly I can’t live without my phone. I don’t know why and sometimes I wish it weren’t so.
Have a FABULOUS DAY!
I have never tried coconut oil, I don’t even cook with oil so I haven’t bought any kind in a while. I can’t live without my phone either, I see us social media buffs are all about our phones
i love all these random things – and i also am going to stop forcing cookies on you and just fill your next care package with candy. i think it’s hilarious that you sleep with a pillow over your face lol. i only do that when the room is too light – i can’t sleep unless the room is super dark.
hah I know people would think I was trying to hide. I actually sleep with my blinds wide open and I have three windows where I sleep so it isn’t the light that bothers me. I actually sleep better with all the natural light but it also makes it hard to sleep in
I totally agree with your three most important things in life. My immediate and extended family is very close, and from an early age, they instilled in me the importance of spending time together, helping out one another, etc. This closeness sometimes meant missing social gatherings with friends (both in high school and college), but I never regretted it; I know it’s a blessing.
I was and still am the same way, I would choose that family time over anything.
hmmm i still wear converse shoes to this day, and have for as long as i can remember. in fact, up until about 2 years ago i still wore the same black pair with neon, multi-colored laces that i wore my sophomore year of high school [i'm 26], and i currently have 3 pairs sitting in my closet right now. converse always has been – and probably will continue to be – my favorite pair of casual shoes. my husband hates them, haha. but seriously, best shoes ever.
I miss my converse! I grew out of them and just never bought another pair. They are so comfy but a little flat for me now. I am glad you are still rocking them.
Love all the randomness in this post! It’s so fun to learn more about you girl. I don’t sleep with a pillow under my head either. I find them to be annoying. I also have to wash my dishes as soon as I’m finished with them. Joshua knows exactly how to give me a minor breakdown… he’ll hold me down so I can’t get up and do them. Ah It’s awful! Ha Ha
that is hilarious he does this! Pillows are annoying, I don’t even get them near my bed when I sleep
I love olive oil!!! I serious put it on everything. One random quirk about my daily routine? I get up super early.. even if I don’t plan to work out that day, I get up just to sit and drink coffee and surf the net.
that is awesome! I like waking up early too but normally it is because I work out. Glad you get that you time.
Everyone always judges me but I sleep with a pillow over my head too! I’m really glad to know I’m not the only one!! I do actually really enjoy learning more about bloggers-so stress relieving.
I think knowing each other’s quirks can be super fun. I sure have a lot. and yes, you are surely not alone. I may have six pillows on my bed but NONE when I sleep
I don’t sleep with a pillow either! I lay flat on my stomach. I WISH I could say you would never find a dish in my sink. I’d be lying though…
that is how I sleep too! people think it is so weird
I am the exact same way about my dishes…I drive Joe nuts when he’s home because he’ll make a huge mess while cooking and I have to clean it up before I can eat and then I have to immediately clean our plates and whatnot afterwards…he had to trick me last week into doing something on the computer while we were eating so that he could actually do them for once (since I had made the meal) and typically we trade off…or we’re supposed to but I usually end up doing them because I’m nuts…and I can’t live without my phone…and I’m not sorry for it in the slightest because it keeps me in touch with everyone I love 24/7
no I feel you on that, it is hard when I am home because my family so does not operate like that so I am always doing their dishes. I can’t live without my phone either. it is connected to my hip
Yeah, I always have dishes in my sink… I have to clean up after my husband, though! I am also terrible with names, and it doesn’t help when you coach 100+ kids (with other coaches, obviously). The thing with cross country and track is that it’s not like sports where you have a number or name on the back of your jersey, and all the kids were wearing the red team shirts… I mean how do you really tell them apart? So the whole season I hardly knew anyone’s name! I’m bad with names anyway but can remember once I get to know people. I’m not a big olive oil fan either… I rarely cook with it.
ah I know, working with all these kids is totally testing my skills. doesn’t help it is hard to pronounce some of them. Ya, i don’t even own olive oil.
Two things:
1. YEEES Converse! I was obsessed with them for so long. I still have three pairs (a black and pink pair, a red pair, and a Batman pair. Yes, I have Batman shoes…somewhere).
2. Totally get you on the androgynous name. I hated it when I was a kid, but Samantha didn’t seem to fit my personality at all either. But now I wouldn’t want to be called anything but Sam.
I really like Sam, the name for some reason is one of my favorites. yay for converse! I had a red pair, a black pair and a gray pair.
omg I am soooooooooooo bad with names.. In one ear out the other is totally how I am too!
I am the same way with dishes.. well kinda, they have to be clean but they can be sitting out drying.. my hubby on the other hand, cant stand it when the dishes are sitting out drying, so he puts them away
win win
that is a good pair right there, sadly I have to do all the process. names are tough!
I totally pick baked goods over candy! I like muffins/breads/cakes more than Skittles or gummy bears. Crazy haha. I wish I was like you about keeping the sink clean … I just get so lazy
I don’t know what it is but I remember when I was little asking for a candy cake instead of an actual cake.
Ooo my Mom would love you haha I’m always in a rush out the door so never have time to clean the dishes until I get home lol I totally wanna see your handwriting now haha I was always the note taker in school, but I feel I have that typical girl handwriting lol
I know, now hearing about everyones handwriting I am so intrigued. There def is that typical girl handwriting but mine is not that bubbly one that everyone had. Tell your mom to come on over! haha
Wow I am also known for having unique neat writing, have converse and still own a cookie monster t-shit hehe go us!
I am with you on that teleportation front, I keep saying it, and really hope it’s invented soon!!!
Hope you’re having an awesome week and have an epic weekend!
we are so similar! I wish I could see your hand writing in person because now I am interested. This week could move faster, like much faster
I know I keep thinking that also, I wished I lived closer! Oh wow.. me too, I should send you a special card hehe, I will have to get your addy…
Well here we are a day ahead so it’s friday already whoooo!
I wish it was Friday here! I really do.
This post reminded me I had a Liebster Award post waiting to be published.. thanks for the reminder
I’m with you on wearing awkward clothes when you were younger. I didn’t wear jeans til like 7th grade.. stuck with those stirrup leggings and massive tshirts. I ALWAYS wanted to change my name to Samantha so people would call me Sam. I actually love my name now, but it took awhile to feel that way about it since no one could ever spell/pronounce it correctly. LOVE Perks of Being a Wallflower!
Ah! I did the same look as well, colorful leggings with huge t shirts. So comfy. It does take a while to get comfortable with your name, now thought I wouldn’t change it for anything
I thought I was OCD about my dishes, but you even dry them by hand too? Crazy! Good for you. I would totally choose teleportation too. One thing I carry with me I couldn’t live without is my phone, and a quirk about my daily routine is probably that I can’t leave the house without making my bed. I’d rather be a few minutes late to wherever I’m going than leave my bed unmade!
I am a tad OCD and when I say tad I mean the dishes always away and I make my bed right when I get out of it before my run. i am crazy like that. My phone is totally one thing I always have on me. I am naked without it
This is really great learning more about you! Number 10- same as me! Actually, I’ve never had a real “boyfriend”… I’ve dated a few people (okay, one and a half really). Basically I’m just not a real person. It’s fine, at least I’ve got my blends
Ha, I haven’t had even on and off boyfriends. Yep, I am that girl that just no one seemed to like in those awkward phases of middle school, high school and college. True life – valentine’s day with the blends haha
My handwriting is so terrible that I could never go a year in school without at least one teacher making a comment about it. Even in college I had a couple professors who were just like…ummm is this hieroglyphics? Haha. It’s refreshing to hear that I’m not the only 23 year old whose never had a serious boyfriend. I know so many girls who jump into relationships just so they can go around saying that they have a boyfriend. I’ve never been like that. Sorry I’m not sorry… I feel too young to settle!
Eh I wish I could say it was because I never wanted a boyfriend but I guess I just never had guys that were interested in me. Lame over here. that is so funny with the handwriting because I would have pegged you to have perfect handwriting.
I’ve never heard of someone else who doesn’t sleep with a pillow! I hate using pillows and usually just push them off to the side…it’s so much more comfortable!
I couldn’t agree more, I haven’t found someone either – we are meant to be!
Great post, Alex! I was laughing thinking of you pronouncing ambulance. A very endearing quirk! The 90s were so awkward, so you’re not alone. All my clothes from my childhood-middleschool-dom are just SO ugly.
You are so right, the 90s were a time of scrunchies (my favorite) and weird gelly shoes. Ha! And yes, I hate that word. What is that noise? The fire cars.
My chap stick! And while it may sound normal, my chap stick is this cocoa butter formula. The size and shape looks exactly like a glue stick and I’ve actually been asked, quite a few times, if I am, in fact, putting glue on my lips. Nevertheless, it’s my favorite!
oh my gosh cocoa butter stuff just always smells and feels so good. I never carry around chapstick anymore but I really should
I use zero beauty products too except for nail polish. It’s the only way I am a girl
I dont’ even use nail polish, I have to say I am far from a girly girl too
I am a dish nazi! and I have the worlds worst handwriting please come be my scribe!
Dish nazi right here with you. I would love to be your scribe any day!
John is terrible with names as well! When we run into people that he knows and I don’t, he’s not allowed to say a name. He’s used the wrong one several times!
See I am terrified of using the wrong one so I usually find a way to not use a name at all
I love your writing and daily rambles. They make me smile and want to give you a big hug.
I cannot go a moment without my chapstick! I’m like an addict.
it is so funny how people are like that with chapstick!
Love the Monica turkey head .gif hahha love that episode
And popcorn popper for sure! LOVE fresh popcorn!
That episode is amazing, makes me die laughing. Fresh popcorn is now my favorite thing ever
Whatttt. How can you hate the taste of olive oil? I just didn’t even know that was possibile! My kitchen life legit focuses around olive oil. I love the smell of it warming up!!
I know, most people can’t live without it but it just totally has a nasty flavor to me. I am odd – remember I am also that girl who doesn’t like nut butter.
OMG. Twins. I hate the taste of olive oil too! SO much. Ick, I cringe thinking of the smell, taste, everything. I love all makeup, I seriously own way too much probably haha. Oh yes, I have phrases I over use to. all. the. time. I’m sure people get sick of me while talking to me, since I repeat the same words haha. I’m also bad with names. I’m really good at remembering faces, but names not so much.
Really? I had no idea, I have to agree though the whole thing around it just doesn’t jive with me. I bet if I knew how to do makeup I would be more into it but I really just have no idea what to do with it. I kind of like when people have phrases they use all the time. makes me think of them whenever i hear it
#5 is hilarious – I hate jeans and other oddly-textured clothing, too! Try the new Denizen by Levi’s jeans at Target… they are soooo comfy!
Never even heard of that… I guess I need to check that out.
I wore the same Old Navy tech vest everyday in 6th grade with soccer shorts haha. I was so gross.
That was so my style… oh wait I still wear shorts and a vest. I never learned style. haha
First of all, I love your blog. It’s so honest and real. I look forward to reading your posts ever morning! (With a nice hot cup of tea)
One thing I can’t live without? Sadly my iPhone. I feel like a part of me is missing if I don’t have it on me. It seems so pathetic!
You are way too sweet! This made me blush. I am the same way with my iphone, I even sleep with it. So not good
Me too! It’s probably so close to my head that I’ll get a brain tumor or something. Kidding but it’s scary to think about!
GIRL. I wait to respond to the comments on my blog until my usual mid-afternoon motivation slump, so I haven’t responded to yours yet, but my first thought when I saw it was, “Why doesn’t teleportation exist so Alex could come take breaking with me??” True life. Glad to see we’re on the same page with need-to-have magical powers.
Quirk about my daily routine…umm…I use the time I take brushing my teeth to pack my bag for work. Is that quirky? I have to pack my bag one-handed. Maybe that’s more awkward than quirky, though haha. But those two minutes it saves in the morning are clutch. I’m all about multi-tasking if it means I can sleep in for two more minutes.
Oh, and I forgot to say: Feel ya on the boyfriend, although I’ve had exactly zero. I had an almost-boyfriend freshman year of college, but he dumped me over Facebook chat before he became an official boyfriend. Classy. I may kind of date guys now (though only kind of…my last “real” date was over a month ago, and everything I’ve gone on between now and then has been much more of a “Is this a date? I’m not sure if this is a date. It kind of looks and feels like a date, but it also kind of doesn’t.”) but none of the guys I’ve gone on official dates with were ever close to becoming boyfriends, and the guy I’m not really dating right now…well, obviously he’s not my boyfriend, since I don’t even know if I’d consider the couple of times we went out to be dates. Love. Tis so complicated. And boys are stupid.
Well, I have to say this boyfriend we were best friends before so the whole relationship was not really that much of a relationship. I have never actually gone on a ‘real date’ – I get so jealous of all these mysterious dates people go on. One day, maybe, maybe not. boys are stupid… amen.
NO WAY. so just again confirming we are the same person. I never just brush my teeth, normally I will make coffee while brushing my teeth. How ironic I know. So we really really need to find a way to transport ourselves. Not only could I meet you but we would be rich. I see a breakdancing reality show? ??? You feel me?
My quirk is that I only wash my whole head of hair every other day, but I think that the hair around my face starts to look oily that way. So, now I put all my hair, minus that section into a ponytail and will wash just my bangs and around my face on the ‘off’ nights
Believe me, it looks really cool when I get out of the shower.
I heard that was better for your hair actually. I can’t get away with not washing my curly hair everyday sadly.
Haha I’m so terrible with names too! I love everyone’s names in the blogging world because they are so creative and easy to remember. Do you think my friends would be cool with calling me cookie dough?
Also, my quirk of the day is that I love getting into my pajama pants asap and sometimes that means at 6:00pm. I’ll be such a great retired lady one day!
haha that is a great way to put it and I so agree, I remember people by their blog names a lot. Some are in my phone with their first name and then last name is the name of their blog or part of the name. I am weird like that. I put on running shorts the second I walk in the door at night even though i don’t run till the am. So comfy!
I’ve always wanted flawless handwriting. Even when I try really, really hard to make my handwriting look good…it doesn’t. Oh well. I can’t live without my eco chapstick egg. It comes with me everywhere. Everywhere.
People love that stuff! Sounds pretty cool to me. No worries, handwriting is supposed to be unique You got that one!
I’m also pretty bad at names, especially in the blogosphere- I tend to think of everyone by their blog name [ahem, Ms. Runwithin]. As far as sleeping, I’m the complete opposite and sleep with 2 pillows, Ryan thinks I’m nuts… Quirk from my daily routine: I can’t leave the house without everything being where it “should be” aka no dishes in the sink… Something I carry around with me all the time: iPhone, it’s so smart
I am with you on leaving the apartment the way it should be, let’s be real nothing is ever out of place because I live alone and would not let that happen. iphone is connected to the hip. i remember bloggers by their blog name too… in my phone you are Allison Bowl FYI haha
Okay, you sleep with a pillow on top of your head?! Whaaaa? Haha you’re too cute.
I am the exact opposite with the whole sweets thing. Candy is just bleh, and way too sweet for me. I’ll take a baked good any day. I think it’s the softness?
And I’m sure you get this a lot.. but your gorgeousness (yep, it’s a word) just amazes me. No make up, and you look stunning. My boyfriend’s sister is the same way and I look at her like “How are you so fresh and beautiful?!” Haha I just had to let it out.
Have a wonnnderffull Thursday Alex!
I know, it isn’t even the light that bothers me I just hate having a pillow below my head. For some reason baked goods just don’t do it for me, I would pass them up any day. however candy is another story. That seriously made my day, I so appreciate you saying that – and your boyfriend’s sister. Made my night!
The one quirk about my routine is that I have to be early to everything! I mean I will leave a half hour early just to show up on time. I also have to have the same routine daily. Haha
I am one of those epic early people too. I just need to be early. really early, I am always the first one in the office
I’m OCD about my dishes, too. They will never be laying around. I won’t even keep the dish drain out! I can’t leave the house without double checking a zillion times that my straightener is off and I need to be wearing earrings. I also need chapstick on me at all times.
Plugs scare me too, I tend to unplug anything and not keep things plugged in. It is so funny how everyone loves their chapstick!
i love learning new stuff about bloggers ! i am crazy with names like almost creepy id meet you once and wont remember anything about you but i will know your name lol and i never sleep with a pillow either just on my stomach poeple think im so weird. Agree with the teleportation, i just had this discussion with a friend the other day too lol! I cant leave without my phone, even if its off i just need it with me !
That is awesome you are so good with names, it makes a great first impression. I sleep on my stomach too!!!!! My phone sleeps next to me so I get you on the phone deal
What’s your favorite kitchen utensil/gadget? I can’t pick just one! I LOVE kitchen gadgets! I don’t really cook, but the gadgets I adore.
That is such a tough one, I have to say my knife because I am always cutting veggies!
So weird about the pillow!!! I need a nice fluffy pillow to fall asleep. Love this ;D
Uck, I just can’t have a pillow under my head for some reason
you are such a cool person! I love the things you told us about yourself! Like wearing the same clothes in school and not wearing jeans till 8th grade–ha! Your favorite product is a bronzer and that’s all you use?? That’s because you are naturally pretty.
Congrats on your liebster award!
Yep, I am not a makeup girl. I just never put it on or even buy it. Save me money I guess. Haha I still don’t own a pair of jeans, I hate them so much
Love the surveys! I do that same thing with the pillow, too! I thought it was just me haha
I think there are a lot more of us out there then I thought too. crazy!
I do the same thing with the pillow too! Ha!
I would love to see your handwriting please and thank you. and I agree with the popcorn popper … love!
No joke, send me your address and there is a hand written card coming your way
omg are you serious?! I LOVE LOVE LOVE mail! I was just hoping for a picture on your site but done and done! eep how exciting.
Just got your email, expect a letter your way this weekend.
What a fun post! I totally had a pair of red vans in 8th grade I thought were awesome! I bet you’ll get your dream job when the time is right!
I hope I do too, I know it is something I can always work towards. Red vans, how cool!
I am absolutely, positively IN LOVE with this post!!! It made me laugh and smile alllllll the way through it! Just made my day
That is what I like to hear, hope you have a kick butt Friday
Wow, I’ve never met someone who tried olive oil and still didn’t like it! So funny. That phrase notebook you keep, hahaha! So hilarious. One day you will look back at that and be glad you did it. I was known for my handwriting in school too. I always was the “scribe” and always volunteered too. But my handwriting changed a lot – I was always neat, but experimented with diff styles.
I have only had one boyfriend too girl and I’m 23. I feel you on that. I get afraid that I’m “behind” and the longer I go without getting a 2nd boyfriend I’ll just completely forget how to date or be a girlfriend or in any relationship. But then something will come along when we least expect it! I try to remember that I wasn’t worried about it when my first/only bf came along.
Oh I so remember my first Converse, the pink ones. I loved them! Thought I was so punk rock. I think I got them in my Ashlee Simpson phase?
I barely use beauty products but I’ve heard great things about Estee! The only product I use on my face for makeup is a Cover Girl Buff Beige foundation – I don’t even know if it’s mousse or whatever.
I need to read Perks of being a Wallflower! I want to wait til I read it to see the flick.
Ya for some reason olive oil just doesn’t jive with my taste buds. I like the notebook thing, I mean I know I am so happy that I still keep the notebook with the plays my sister and I wrote when we were younger. Yep, we are both in the same boat with the boyfriend thing – I am not even sure if I can call it a real boyfriend either. I was so punk rock at one phase, aka the band ts and converse. I loved it though. I still haven’t seen the movie either, I need to get on that.
Speaking of sayings that people use — “On a scale of one to bashit, how crazy are we thinking?” was one of mine through university. I still use various forms of the “on a scale of one to … insert absurd comment here …” allll the time. Totally a favourite.
Also, my ED doc told me yesterday that if he moved me into a convent, my ED would be gone forever. The sad thing is that this is the truth. But I guess that’s the way life rolls sometimes. Nothing against us, we’re fighting a war here.
Annnnd the first pair of shoes I bought for myself were a pair of teal converse in Grade 10 that I wore through high school graduation when I finally needed to toss their ragged selves away. It was a very, very sad day for me.
I can’t live without my phone these days because I need my blends at hand.
Loved this. Love you more!!!
I kind of like having phrases though that I use all the time, people seem to know me by them which makes me happy (can I get a woof?) I like yours as well, adding that to my book now for when I meet you. Ugh isn’t that sad? We are fighting a very losing war sometimes. converse baby, I could have so pegged you as a converse girl. I am so glad you finally got a phone with a plan that we can text, happiest day ever.
I’m so glad you created this post! I love when bloggers reveal random facts about themselves. I’m just like you – I absolutely cannot remember names for the life of me. In one ear out the other. Honestly, it’s a really bad quality to have in the working world but I can’t seem to fix the problem
I know, i wish I was better at names. i need to find a way to learn names more.
