How is it the last week of September? I mean I am not complaining but I am loving how fast this month went by. Now to just fast forward to Thanksgiving and I am set. Another Tuesday, another day of trades.
I would trade… having to work this Friday and Saturday (yes I spoke too soon) to actually getting the day off we were promised. Sadly, we were informed a program conference has to be held this Friday afternoon from 1230 to 530 pm meaning we will be in the office all day. Womp. Then add a Saturday of work yet again. Plus side? Next Friday and Saturday I get off – hello freedom.
I would trade... still not hearing back about the job for some news already. I am impatient when it comes to things like this so I am itching to know if I got it.

I would trade… these chilly mornings for the heat cranked up again. I know I know people love the fall but I really enjoy running in the heat. I have had to wear a long sleeve and shorts, with still feeling a little cold. I guess I am just not ready to say that winter is coming in a few short months.
I would trade… the recent metro commutes for the summer metro commutes. Ok, now that the year is in full swing the metro commute been a pain. It is packed, crowded and always a race to get in. Monday I nearly bite a girl who literally blocked me from getting into the metro as the door closed in my face. Grrrrr
I would trade.. constant money woes for an ease. I got really frustrated today because I want to get something but then I don’t because I feel bad. I hate that feeling.
Good news? I kind of struggled to get these trades. So why not say what I wouldn’t trade this week.
- My coworder and I getting closer, laughing a lot more and making work seriously fly by
- A new site I discovered similar to Groupon and LivingSocial called Gilt City. I love my deals
- Opening up my new bank account with ease. Thank goodness.
- Doing a plank a day finally!
- Committing myself to an earlier bedtime each night because I felt the amazing effects it had Monday morning!
- Finding out some scary news about family friends but knowing that they are both ok and getting through the situations. Gosh, makes me grateful for what I have even as much as I complain

Ok, off to a full Tuesday including my first mentor session night!
Questions: What would you trade this Tuesday? What wouldn’t you trade?

That bear touching his toes is too sweet. It’s tough waiting to hear back about jobs!!!! Way to go with early bedtime. I’d trade Kevin traveling for Kevin being home all the time. But I’m thankful for both our jobs — so I wouldn’t trade that!
The early bedtime has been making my mornings amazing, who knew! haha. I know that bear just made me giggle.
I love running in the heat as well! I thought I was the only one LOL! I just can’t take the cold…its torture!
Nope I am with you on that, aka why we would be amazing running buddies. Wish you lived closer…
I hated having to hear back when I did interviews for internships. Thankfully the only job I ever interviewed for answered me when I was there. Kinda scary actually. I’m sure you’ll hear back soon. That’s always the hardest. Did you make sure to check up on it? And I cannot believe you’ll want to trade the weather. I love the cold! Glad you’re making friends at work. They always get me through the long long workdays. And I love love love planks! They are so much fun and they pretty much work the whole body!
Planks do work me a lot, I seriously needed to get back into them so I am glad I am now doing one every morning. Feels good! Wow I have never had an answer right there, that is kind of scary.
I would trade my exhaustion, but I wouldn’t trade what caused it.
I would trade the pre-dawn bike rides to work, but I wouldn’t trade getting off early in the afternoon.
I can’t think of any more … a little too tired, but I’m really glad your trades were hard to come up with. I hope you hear back soon — I’m super impatient when it comes to things like that too (and always leap to worst-case scenario).
I hope you have time to get lots of rest after your amazing race!
I wouldnt trade having my mum home on vacation spending time with me and the girls. I would trade my hair colour for anything better. Bad hair year!?? Haha
Haha, I bet your hair color is beautiful! And man vacation time is something I would never trade either.
I love Gilt City! I’m also not ready for the cooler weather! I do like Fall but the mornings are TOO cold for me! Yikes.
I seriously had never heard of Gilt City but I love it now! I agree, too cold for me too.
I would trade starting school. I start tomorrow. Boo. Fortunately it’s only one class..and I’ve already taken it..so it better be a breeze ha!
Oh man good for you! I am excited to see how your class is. Good luck, I will be thinking of you.
I wouldn’t trade the gorgeous weather that we’ve been having around these parts lately! I can finally get outside and enjoy the beauty of Fall… as long as I don’t think about what’s coming in a few months!
Exactly, the daunting reality of what is to come is what makes me shake in my boots. Please be a nice winter!
Ugh, cold runs – unpleasant. Once it starts getting chilly, I beeline for the treadmill. Just can’t take it.
See the treadmill is the dreadmill for me so it may be snowing and I will STILL be outside. haha
Oh crappy having to work Friday and Saturday! That sucks. I hope your family is ok x
I know, I spoke too soon and look what happened. Thank you for your kind thoughts.
As hot it is outside, I would definitely not trade the sunshine for the ick monsoon rains we experienced the last 3 months!! Although when it comes to running, I despite running in the heat…more power to you for actually enjoying it!
I hate rain so I feel you on that one, I don’t know why but running in the heat is how I like it.
ahhh hurry up with the job news already! i’m anxious for you!!!
I know I know I am dying over here!
i would definitely trade traveling for an away game today for a night at home. i’m so tired lol hope you hear about the job soon!
Oh gosh it is like high school all over again, I hated having to travel. Just so much lag time that could be spent at home. Hang in there girl, you are so busy lately!
I would trade fall to have summer back (gasp! yes i said it!) although these 75 degree days we’ve been having are pretty phenomenal!
I am the same way! I just love the heat especially for my morning running. Glad we are both on that train!
oh gosh is it hard waitng to hear back from a job! Be thankful you have a solid job though, Jeff has been out of a job for a few weeks and has been waiting to hear back from places and dying, I need him to hear back because we cannot survive on my social worker income! You should be proud that your trades are coming few and far between! Have a great day!
Love the things you wouldn’t trade! Having a co-worker become a friend is huge for making work more enjoyable!
It just makes work that much more fun!
1. Love the the ghetto lady picture! You are to funny Alex!
2. So glad you & the co-worker are becoming closer! I know you needed a friend, and so glad she’s there for you <3
3. Doing a plank a day. I totally quit that last month. Maybe I should start back up again?
Well I failed you last month so consider this my catch up. How are you? I have been anxiously waiting for an email from you….
Just wrote you back dear!
I would trade the butt load of work I need to get done today for a slightly smaller “to do” list. I don’t think I have enough time to get to it all
Epic to lists always scare me in the process of trying to get them done.
Congratulations on finally starting your plank a day
And I know what you mean about running in the heat. SO much better!
I am glad you agree on that, some people think I am crazy when I say that. I hope I stick with the plank a day!
I’m glad you and your coworker are getting closer. It makes work so much easier! I would trade my straight hair for beach waves today. I’m getting lazy in the mornings and don’t want to bring out my curling iron). BTW, You have nice hair!
haha I do nothing to it, put in gel. Makes my 15 minute shower and get ready time a breeeze.
Gahhh waiting to hear back from a job is SO frustrating. I have a roommate right now that interviewed for a job a month ago, and each week they e-mail her telling her, “Next week we’ll know!” Not cool. It took me for-ever to know if I actually had the job I currently have or not, and it was so ridiculously stressful. I hope you hear back soon!
The waiting game is by far the worst, and this lady has not been the most timely. Ugh!
I totally agree. I would rather know then not know. That is why when they told me I had a fracture I was so happy versus just waltzing around not knowing at all. Have a great day!
I would trade feeling sick for actually hitting up the gym this morning and being at work instead of being at home…
I wouldn’t trade my little english bulldog for anything…million dollars, my own island, nothing!
Aw I love english bulldogs, they are so hilarious. Feeling sick is never fun! Thanks for reading!
I love the pics of you as a little one – so cute! I would NOT trade the cooler weather for heat…definitely am a cold weather runner! I wish I enjoyed running in the heat as much as you
Thanks, my cuteness def faded over time!
Well I beg to differ!
This is great, and so is your blog
I’m excited to start reading! The chilly morning really do need to go I agree…. summer night runs are the best not now when your out there freezing your bum off!
Oh man I love finding new blogs, thanks for reading.
aww I hate the waiting game when it comes to potential jobs… I feel it would be nice to know either way. Good luck! My fingers are crossed
Thanks girl, I am hoping for the best.Who knows!
I would trade feeling a cold coming on (feeling super tired and fatigued) for a ton of energy to get all my work done and get back to running. Oh how I wish these trades would come true!!! Yesterday and today have been rough for sure.
I hope you hear back about your job soon!!!!!
Ugh, I hate when you feel yourself getting sick but know there is nothing you can do to stop it! So rough. Feel better!
Gilt City’s great! And I agree with you about earlier bedtimes…they make the day so much easier! Today, I would trade having to sit at my desk all day for one of those desks on treadmills– i have too much energy to sit today!
Those desk treadmills are bomb, I would love one too!
All your trades are great. I’m always freaking out when I don’t hear back about things. Especially when I know it could be any minute.
I know, I want to know and I still don’t know. So unprofessional.
I am totally with you on loving running in the heat. The summer is my favourite month so I am always sad to see it go! I need to start committing myself to earlier bed times, what a great idea!
The earlier bedtimes have been amazing, just amazing.
Boo for weekend working! I am sure you will enjoy next weekend
Gawd, the metro is such a pain and people are so oblivious. I’ve pushed people out of my way before…you might wanna try it.
I hope you hear about the job soon!!
I seriously wanted to bite that girl, the metro keeps getting worse and worse. Ya, weekends working do blow but makes for a better weekend following.
Do you have Columbus day off ? Because then you will have a four day weekend! PS I think we should get together again for a longer chat
Noooooo I don’t I know lame. I just left a very similar comment on your blog. I seriously work too much. Blah!
I”m so glad you are getting close with your coworker!! That makes work so much better! I would trade this colder weather too!!
The mid day strolls are the best. I really miss the hotter weather!
Getting to bed earlier (AKA more sleep) really helped my body and mood overall. Many people overlook the need for a solid 7-8 hours of sleep a night, but it’s so important!
Sorry to hear you haven’t heard back from the interview :/ soon!
I know, I am bummed I still haven’t heard back. The sleep has made me so peppy in the morning, I swear I am the only one on the metro with a smile.
Oh my gosh I LOVE that your two favorite numbers are 11 and 13. Mine are the same!
11 because it’s my birthday and 13 because it’s Taylor Swift’s
Haha I love your reasoning, no worries about where you commented, I get it all the same!
Whoops definitely commented on the wrong post, but you get the idea
