MIMM: Blown Away

Really? Another Monday already? Never have I thought the weekends would fly by even when I was out of school. But I sure do have some marvelous highlights. Healthy Diva Eats does the inspiring yet again!

Marvelous… of how grateful I am for my running. Never would I have thought that I could do two double digit days and not be sore. It really shows the trust, compassion and strength I have built in my body – something I could definitely not say a year ago. (I should also be this dog because sadly I have probably urinated on a tree more during my runs. True life)

Marvelous… that friends understand you needing to cancel plans due to a stomach misbehaving. Yes, not so marvelous I couldn’t see her lovely face but knowing that she really understands the situation means the world to me.

Marvelous… chat with my great aunt and Sitoo. I feel bad because I usually call them and don’t have the best news… oh hey I’m getting a colonoscopy or a root canal. No change there but just hearing their voice and love makes me smile. Just the fact my great aunt who shouldn’t be traveling wanted to drop everything to come stay with me for the weekend to help with the tests and prep for this Friday made me feel blessed yet again. Of course she isn’t but it is the thought that counts.

Marvelous… I rose above. People specifically one person keeps trying to enter my life and tear me down. I find no need to even engage and guess what, I haven’t. This is the first time my stubborn self has not felt the need to bicker back.

Marvelous… I have another crazy week that will hopefully make it fly by!

Don’t forget, the giveaway closes at 8 pm tonight!

Questions: What is marvelous about your Monday? How do you rise above squabbles?

  1. what a sweet great aunt :) . i think i’m signing up for the marathon today btw.. it asked for a finish time, i put 3:45 minutes giving it a little over an 8 and half pace. I’m not trying to PR, just trying to make it thru the 26.2 miles & enjoy the race. is that cool with you?

  2. Firstly, love the dog meme. Secondly, you should rise above. Don’t let people who are just going to tear you down have any influence over your life. You’re better than that ;)

  3. My Monday is marvelous because it’s the start of a 4-day week…gotta love mid-week public holidays!

  4. Go you on rising above the squabbles. As an adult I walk away from toxic people (when I can). I hope you get some answers with all your tests.

  5. I hope you drown in all that is marvelous today … submerge yourself in what’s important and just keep swimming!! :)

  6. I hope your tummy gets better! I rise above squabbles by focusing on the positive and constantly striving for optimism :)

  7. I can admit to also being stubborn, so I can relate to how hard it must have been to not feel the need to bicker back. Enjoy the start of your week!

  8. I think itz really hard to ignore squabbles (haha love that word), but ultimately know you’re being the bigger person as to not engage. We have a family dinner for a Jewish holiday tonight, so I’m super stoked about that! Definitely marvelous!

  14. Good for you…keeping the negativity and bad influences out of your life. It’s seriously a big deal when you can be smart enough to know they’re bad for you, and strong enough to keep away from them. Keep kicking ass with those runs too! Crazy good
