Snack Attack Series

I have been playing around about how I wanted to share some of my new foodie finds with all of you. They just can’t go ignored. I finally decided that each day I will feature a new snack (and possible giveaway) so that a. you can ignore it, b. I can still rant about my life (diva troubles) and c. because I said so. I normally don’t do a full post to dedicate to one – but these deserve it.

Tuesday has been rough. I have had one of those ”get me out of my skin, negative thoughts” kind of days. It is hard to even put words to it so why not kickstart this snack attack right.

Enter Kim’s Magic Pop. Intriguing name right?

I bet I have a new find for some of you. Ever heard of Kim’s Magic Pop? These airy flat disks are all natural, vegan and cholesterol free saucers of deliciousness. Magic Pop has a shape that allows for toppings to a not needed but yummy add on. They are a freshly popped grain snack that is a wholesome blend of wheat, brown rice and corn (sorry my gluten free buddies out there only some are gluten free!).  These snacks have a combination of an airy but crispy texture making them the perfect vehicle for any snack time craving.

My allergy friends out there, most of their products are puffed wheat HOWEVER they do have some great gluten free finds.

The original Kim’s Magic Pop product comes in Original, Onion, Cinnamon, Strawberry, Whole Wheat, Honey Wheat, Cheddar Cheese, Potato, Super Fiber and 7 Grain. Noms.

Their other products are just as unique and I would say fall into that rice cake category as well. Kim’s Deli Pop are miniature size rice cakes made from pressed barley, wheat and brown rice. 10 calories of vegan, no cholesterol and all natural goodness.

I know I have some chocolate lovers out there so now imagine Kim’s Deli Pop covered in chocolate, oh wait they DO THAT. These puppies are their miniature rice cakes slathered in chocolate that can either come in drizzled or dipped. I see some of you drooling through the screen. These are called Kim’s Chocolate Deli Pop.

Sadly, I was not able to try any of their Kim’s Mini Pop but those are an even smaller, miniature sized pressed wheat, brown rice, black rice, corn and barley cake. These come in Original, All Dressed, Dill pickle, Apple Cinnamon and Salt and Vinegar. I need to get my hands on these bad boys, the Dill Pickle and All Dressed intrigue me.

For me, these are the kind of snacks I enjoy. Something not too heavy but tasty. Something that can be dressed up or dressed down. As I told you, rice cakes and popcorn are my jam but these really stole my heart. I know they are hard to find but you can order them online as well.

Check out their website because they have a lot to offer and even more varieties I was unable to try.
You can find them on Facebook as well!

I need to order more of these, now. Wrangle in that Tuesday hunger!

  4. OMG, they have these at Wegmans!!!! And I’ve always sort of walked by them and been like “wtf IS that?” but now that I’m informed, I must go buy them. (so, when you feel yourself getting stressed with all these product reviews, just know that you ARE actually getting people to try them out! :-D )

  5. First of all, I totally thought the title of your post was “Shark Attack” for a minute, because I’m watching Shark Week and I got really worried that you were gonna say something about a shark attack at the Cape….haha. So I’m glad everyone is fine! And those little things are INSANE. The little girls that I babysit got me hooked on them. They’re so big, too! They’re like bigger than these kids faces and take them a half hour to eat. It’s too funny, because I inhale them in like a minute. I’ve never tried the flavored ones though..only the plain!

  6. I get the small rice cakes ALL the time! They are soo addictive but so good! :)

  7. If you ever find them in stores, please share with us! These look amazing and I’m going to have to try them, if I can find them. Thanks for sharing!
