You Can Find me At the SeaSnax

The chaos before leaving for a trip is always the worst. You have so many things you say you want to do and need to do but in the end, lots of things get left behind.

In that mess, I did not have time to go out and buy snacks. I was about to leave the East coast not prepared with those grab snacks I could need on my business trip. Well I lucked out. The day before I had a lovely package arrive from the friends at SeaSnax.

Before you turn up your nose at the thought of eating seaweed, you must try these. I am all about a salty snack to satisfy any craving – especially when salty doesn’t mean racking up the sodium count. Sodium does not do well with my sensitive stomach so snacks naturally low in sodium packed with flavor are a must.

These snacks are gluten free, vegan and no GMOs in each of the flavors. They are made using 100% olive oil and a pinch of sea salt making them – as their slogan says- strangely addicting. No lie, it looks like you are legit eating seaweed but boy do they taste bomb. The seaweed used is porphyra also referred to as Nori or Kim. There are lots of benefits from eating seaweed. It is rich in minerals such as iodine and iron, calcium and vitamins B1, B6, C and E.

I was sent the little snack packs as well as the larger seaweed papers. I got five flavors to try, all of which I liked more and more. The flavors were original, olive, wasabi, chipotle and toasty onion. I had only had the original and toasty onion before this trial. Well, the second I tried chipotle I was hooked. A nice punch of spice without an overwhelming mouth on fire feel. The wasabi was the same way. Both these flavors in other snacks usually overpower the whole experience but not in these SeaSnaxs.

You can find these online but also at Whole Foods and most health food stores. If you need an easy pack snack to satisfy any salt craving, I recommend you giving these a try!
