Catch My Whiff?

I may have been misleading, I don’t work from home, just for these next two days I do. I am not that lucky.

I don’t know about you, but I love adding flavors to food without drenching it in sauce after sauce. That is why when I heard of these little gems, I had to give it a try.

Garlic Gold is something I had only read about but never seen. The site with its catchy font and variety of products made me want to try some. Well, I got sent some samples and I need to share this product with you all.

I come from a Lebanese and Italian background. Both involve lots of garlic. Whether it is the hummus or the pasta sauce, you will find our kitchens and breathes wreaking of this beautiful stench.

I, at first, thought Garlic Gold was one dimensional. I thought all they had were the garlic pellets. Oh boy I was wrong. I got sent some trials of the Garlic Gold Sea Salt, Parmesan, Italian Herbs and the classic. Each one had more flavor than the next.

I put the Italian Herb one into a can of no salt added tomato sauce and poured it over spaghetti squash. To die for.

I put the Parmesan one on a batch of roasted eggplant and let it melt in the last bit of roasting. To die for.

I put the Sea Salt one over a bag of microwavable popcorn, shook it up and enjoyed the bag. To die for.

I put the classic chunky Garlic Gold pellets in an egg white scramble. To die for.

Catch my whiff? This stuff is bomb. If you want flavor without all the extra calories or just want to pack some punch into the classic recipes you use everyday, give these a try.

Thank you Garlic Gold for a freaking amazing package and a new love for this wonderful smell. I highly encourage you to order some. Like now. Right now.

Questions: Have you ever had garlic gold? Where would you add Garlic Gold?

  6. Verrrry interesting! I’m terrible at using spices. I only get creative every once in a while otherwise it’s mostly salt pepper and cinnamon for me. :)

  7. I’ve read about Garlic Gold in the past but unfortunately have never tried ti! These flavors sounds DELICIOUS! As much as I love the taste of garlic, I hate the lingering stench it leaves on your fingers after cutting it up….which explains why garlic powder is a kitchen staple for me!

  8. I’ve heard of this stuff before but like you I thought it was only garlic! Which I’m not a fan of, I hate chopping up/touching the real stuff cuz my hands smell terrible for DAYS! and for some reason it really messes with my stomach – it tastes delicious though and obviously its a staple in all the traditional italian fods my family makes. But if they have other spices I am ALL over that! I love adding spices to my foods cuz like you I’m not a sauce fan – and most spices are actually pretty powerful antioxidants too. I love your idea of putting the sea salt on popcorn too, I haven’t had popcorn in wayyyyy too long!

    • Popcorn actually helps my stomach, you should try it. For me it just helps regulate things for some reason. I know tmi. They have things besides the shakers, they have oils so you may like that more.

  9. I love fresh garlic; it’s good for the blood ;) I’ve heard of garlic gold through blogs though. Can you find these in a grocery store?
