Can you tell I’m a tad bit excited? Yes, I still have some cleaning up to do (aka how the heck do I re-order my menu tabs?) but that is all minor.
This blog I haven’t shared with my friends or family. I think in the end I really wanted to do a blog because after being an avid reader for the past two years I realized how much a community was formed through it. I love learning about new tips, articles, recipes, workouts, products, etc. from other like-minded people.
Tomorrow I start my last FOUR WEEKS of college. Insane. Time has flown by. I know my blog will really take off when I begin my new job right after graduation but for now I think I need this space. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous about this transition out of school to the real world. Writing and reaching out to people is what helps me cope. Heck, this transition has been done by many more than myself. So I guess what to expect is still a lot of school talk, a lot of dining hall food (I am a resident adviser so live in the dorms without a kitchen..wah wah) , and posts on getting to know me.
I thought before I jumped right in, I would do a survey that flew around the blog world for a while but that would be perfect to start with a bang.
ABCs of me
A is for age 22, I still say 21 even though my birthday is in December.
B is for breakfast I go between puffed rice (or other gluten free cereal yummys) with unsweetened almond milk or scrambled egg whites with butter
C is for current craving I just got back from spring break so I am already missing Red Mango frozen yogurt. Drool. Non-food related: I really wanted that shirt that says “Run Wicked Fast” – Wicked is a huge part of my vocabulary!

D is for dinner tonight since I live in the dorms I eat in the dining hall so no idea what they will be serving. But it will always be accompanied by a big salad.
E is for favorite type of exercise well duh RUNNING but when I am able to at home I go to hot yoga power classes. Sweat, stretching and the best workout ever.
F is for irrational fear breaking a bone. Terrified.
G is for gross food peanut butter. I know, I know but the texture truly makes me gag. That and chocolate.
H is for hometown a small suburb of Boston.
I is for something important my family. I would be nowhere without my loving family, their craziness and all. (These are my cousins and my sister, got to love them!)

J is for current jam Let Go on the Garden State Soundtrack. I live by this song. That and Semi-charmed Life. Who am I?
K is for kids woooooff, so far off.
L is for current location my dorm room in VA.
M is for most recent way to spend money since I was home for spring break and there are actually stores (unlike the small town I go to school in where there is literally only a 24 hour Walmart), I saw a sale at yes LuLu Lemon. This shirt… heavenly.

N is for something you need a place to live in DC when I move there for my job. The search is a lot tougher than I thought it would be.
O is for occupation currently student but soon to be employee for an organization in DC.
P is for pet peeve slow walkers and slow drives (I am a classic Mass-hole driver). Move out of my way.
Q is for quote I live by this quote.

R is for random fact about you I did a bike trip from Paris to Rome in 2009 where we biked over 100 miles a day and carried all of our stuff. Hardcore and life changing.

S is for favorite healthy snack oooh so many, baby carrots, pop chips or egg whites.
T is for favorite treat I love me some black licorice jelly beans, either that or whipped cream with sprinkles.
U is for something that makes you unique I am Lebanese and when I go home I sometimes go to a church that is in Arabic with my extended family. My goal is to one day speak Arabic.
V is for favorite vegetable I honestly like every vegetable out there. I eat a lot of vegetables but some favorites are asparagus, zucchini, brussel sprouts, carrots, mushrooms, peppers, eggplant…
W is for today’s workout easy 60 min run outside in the drizzle.
X is for X-rays you’ve had I had not had any until last january when I got a pelvic bone stress fracture.
Y is for yesterdays highlight Spending my last day at home, walking with my mom and dog – sad part not knowing when the last time I will return home will be. Home always reminds me of the best memories I shared with my sister, mom and dad. (Weren’t we adorable!)

Z is for current timezone Eastern.
Thanks for reading!
Questions: Can you relate to a time of transition and the feelings that go along with it? Any fellow bloggers out there getting ready to graduate?

i love red mango! such good yogurt
that bike ride in europe sounds AMAZINGGGG!!
I wish red mango was closer, I mean they have more than 15 flavors at once, drool worthy!
I don’t think it’s irrational to be afraid of breaking a bone! That would be so scary. I’m totally with you on the love of running.
Wow, no peanut butter or chocolate? Those are pretty much my two favorite things! I’m so jealous you’re about to graduate, I’m only a sophomore. Glad to have found your blog!
so glad you found my blog too! I am glad I found a fellow runner! Ya, since I was little I have hated peanut butter and chocolate. Luckily, I am slowing getting over my peanut butter fear but I was always made fun of for not liking chocolate. (As I down gummy bears, swedish fish and jelly beans like it is my job!)
Hey there! I love your blog! You seem super cool! I loved this post too
. Gahh, i hate slow walkers- i literally want a horn that I can just blast at them. But your random fact is crazy cool! That bike ride sounds insane and awesome! Paris?? I am dying of jealousy!
So glad you found it! Slow walkers just make my blood boil, especially when you need to be somewhere. The bike trip was amazing, Paris in spandex padded bike shorts? check!
My son is graduating college in just under 4 weeks! Recently my husband and I drove halfway across the country to help our son find an apartment for the job he’ll start in June. I grew up in a suburb of Boston too!
Apartment hunting is the worst, apparently it is really competitive in DC and I am feeling that.
Hi! Nice to “meet” you
I’m excited to keep on reading about you and your upcoming transition!!
Thanks for stopping by! Love your blog.
LOVE YOUR BLOG!! Wahoo almost done with college, that is so exciting! Good to know running is your favorite form of exercise:) Yep, breaking a bone is scary stuff!
Sorry about that spam, I fixed it! Thanks for stopping by, I love your blog and read it daily.
Congrats on finishing college! I’m so jealous.

Soon enough, I honestly can’t believe how time flew by!
you don’t like PB?! now i feel more normal for being an oatmeal-hating blogger. PB and oatmeal are 2 “blog world staples” or so it seems. I feel I’m the only blogger who doesn’t like oatmeal. Do you feel that way regarding the PB?
I love the Lululemon top in the pic you chose. I have been debating spending the whopping $56 on it for a month or so now…
I know, those are both blog staples. I am slowly warming up to it. I blame it on my sister eating it and only it everyday on white bread since she was little. The shirt is worth it….
I used to eat PB on white bread for every single day of my life, at least one sandwich a day if not 2 or 3, from ages 5-18. no lie! i just don’t like oatmeal and am not even trying to like it haha
sounds exactly like my sister! at least now they have flavors.
congrats on graduating soon! I love D.C. you are going to love living there!
I wish I didn’t like peanut butter, I am a peanut butter addict!
Thanks! Now it is just about finding a place to live…
Transitioning is a little challenging but don’t worry you’ll rock it! I love your ABC’s. B is always for breakfast!
I need to keep reminding myself of that!
